Positif:
Friendly staff, comfortable beds.

Négatif:
A bit pricey in my opinion. No A/C remote, noisy traffic heard from room, cleaner cleaned my room when I left a sign telling her not to and then she threw something of mine away - really irritated me.

Very close to PLace de Bastille, where there is great nightlife/restaurants/bars/cafes/shops, etc.
However the road it is on, Richard St LEnoir, is a bit rough I reckon. The first 5 minutes my friend and I were there a young boy tried to mug us. He was small and rather a terrible thief so we got him to bugger off, but still, not very nice. Also, at night and sometimes during the day you get young youths and tramps clutching beer cans sitting in the spaces on the road, so it makes you feel a little uneasy. But you%27d be okay as long as you%27re with someone else.

Comfortable beds. Breakfast included only at an extra charge, which I think is a bit rich considering the price of the place. The lifts were tiny, when the cleaner and her trolley took up the whole thing my friend and I had to take the stairs. (SIX floors!)

African man at the front desk was very helpful and very kind. (I had a problem with my credit card and he sorted it all out for me)
When I specifically put up a sign on my door for the room not to be cleaned, the cleaner went ahead and did it anyway. In doing so she threw away my own personal toiletry bottle that I had brought to the hotel myself. Very annoyed about that.

Traffic very noisy. Inside the hotel was nice and quiet though.

Decent sized rooms, very small bathroom I got, though it had a good shower.
My friend%27s mini bar didn%27t even work, everything was warm.
I did not get a remote for my air conditioning so I had to jump up to switch it on or off and could not adjust the settings as a consequence.

For the price I paid, I expected a lot more. I think one could probably stay in a similar hotel for a cheaper price, or stay in a better hotel for the same price. Particularly because there was no breakfast included too.
Combien d'étoiles mérite-t-il?
