A historical site with a beautiful collection of Medieval buildings, the resort is based around the 12th-century Castle di Petroia, set within a large farm with parks and white cattle. Closed within the castle walls, here you can enjoy a strategic location, between Gubbio and Perugia, and wonderful view over the Chiascio Valley. The scene of many important events of the past, Petroia Castle was also the birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, the Duke of Urbino, in the 15th-century. Restored between 1982 and 1990, the original features have been carefully maintained within the 3 buildings: Castellare Maggiore, Castellare Minore and Mastio. In a refined and welcoming atmosphere, you can enjoy a comfortable stay in an elegant, historic place. The rooms have antique and authentic furniture, wood-beam ceilings and old prints or paintings from the 18th-century). They also have all modern comforts.
