Miramar Hotel is one of the crown jewels, a magnificent historic building restored to be experienced in an exceptional manner: innovation and comfort beyond luxury. From our premises you can discover marvellous views over the city and the Mediterranean Sea, in a unique setting. Miramar Hotel retains the original facade of the old palace that Alfonso XIII opened on the mountain of Montjuïc, for the Barcelona Universal Exhibition in 1929. The area that was landscaped during the Exhibition, which surrounds the hotel and most of Montjuïc, was designed by Forestier and the vegetation consists mostly of Mediterranean species. In 1959 the building was the home to the Studios of Spanish Radio and Television, until they moved to Sant Cugat in 1983, at which point the Palace fell into disuse until its recent transformation by the architect Oscar Tusquets Blanca.

leider komme ich erst heute dazu meine Bewertung abzugeben. Sie haben ein schönes Hotel aber der Service an der Rezeption war sehr schlimm. Wir haben und sehr kurzfristig für Ihr Hotel entschieden und haben Online auf Ihrer Webseite gebucht. Da wir auf Ihrer Webseite nicht die Möglichkeit hatten ein Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten zu buchen haben wir bei Checkin um ein Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten gebeten.
Ihre Mitarbeiterin teile und freundlich mit das aktuell in unserer Buchungskategorie kein solches Zimmer verfügbar ist. Uns wurde angeboten ein Kategorie Höher zu buchen da es hier noch Zimmer mit zwei Betten gab oder am nächsten tag das Zimmer zu wechseln da es ab dem folge Tag in unsere Buchungskategorie ein freies Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten hat. Da uns entschlossen uns für zweiten Vorschlag da und die Mehrkosten zu hoch erschienen und uns eine Nacht ein Bett zu teilen erträglich war. Als wir am nächsten Morgen an die Rezeption sind um die Schlüsselkarte für das andere Zimmer abzuholen teile man uns frech mit das doch kein Zimmer zu Verfügung steht und wir entweder in dem Zimmer mit einem Bett bleiben oder in ein Zimmer wechseln müssen in der Höheren Buchungskategorie das natürlich auch deutlich mehr gekostet.
Dieses Vorgehen und der Service ist inakzeptabel für ein 5* Hotel. Uns wurde bei Check in ein Zimmerwechsel für den nächsten Tag in unserer Buchungsklasse zugesichert und dann ist es doch nicht möglich. Wir fühlten uns betrogen und getäuscht.
Ich möchte deutlich zum Ausdruck bringen, dass mir ein solch schlechter Service noch nie in einem 5* Hotel passiert ist.

Hello,
Unfortunately, I am only today to leave my rating. They have a nice hotel but the service at the reception was very bad. We decided on your hotel at very short notice and booked online on your website. Since we did not have the option to book a room with two single beds on your website, we asked for a room with two single beds at check-in.
Your coworker share and friendly with the currently in our booking category no such room is available. We were offered a category higher to book as there were still rooms with two beds or the next day the room to change as it from the following day in our booking category a free room with two single beds. Since we decided for a second proposal and the extra cost seemed too high and one night sharing a bed was bearable. When we arrive at the front desk the next morning to pick up the key card for the other room, they tell us cheekily that no room is available and we either have to stay in the room with a bed or change to a room in the Higher Booking category of course also cost much more.
This approach and service is unacceptable for a 5 * hotel. We were assured at check in a room change for the next day in our booking class and then it is not possible. We felt betrayed and deceived.
I would like to express clearly that such a bad service never happened to me in a 5 * hotel.
