• Positive: The view over the busy square - at all times of night and day. But only the rooms at the front have this view. One of our party has a side room with a depressing view of dilapidation.

• Staff: 5 Some staff OK. Other European languages limited. Usual Spanish surliness - they don%27t mean to be rude! Some staff smoke on duty (it is a no-smoking hotel) - which is very bad. They imagine that if they keep the cigarette hidden then you won%27t notice it!
• Quietness: Not rated VERY noisy square. Thin walls, large open ventilation grills in rooms mean that ear plugs are essential.
• Room: 2.5 Some small rooms. Plumbing rather tired, variable pressure mean showers are a gamble. The beds have nasty rubber mattress covers, but these are easy to remove.
• Value for money: 7.5 I didn%27t spend time comparing, but we found some very pleasant-looking places which were cheaper.
