• Positif: It was clean and quiet with good water pressure
• Négatif: The Bed--too small -unacceptable for a couple to sleep in and far too hard. Then the pillows (we were told there was a menu for pillows but could not locate it then we asked and never saw it)then the small size of the room. Our rate incldued breakfast but the dining room was so hot for us that the skipped it on the second morning.

• Situation: 10 Perfect location to tourist attractions, shopping and metro

• Personnel: 7,5 We had a communication challenge (even though I speak pretty good Spanish) --it was more of a cultural difference (and I lived in Spain 20 years ago) but they did handle themselves very professionally and with courtesy
• Tranquillité: 10 Very quiet in spite of location on busy street
• Chambre: Sans évaluation I would never recommend this to an American for the price we paid. I spend 50-70 nights per year in hotels (mostly Starwood, Marriott or Kimpton Group). This was the smallest with the absolute smallest and hardest bed and pillows I have EVER encountered-I even stated in my reservation I wanted a KING size bed in the American style and if it was not available then I wanted two beds. I got one bed so small I could not sleep and my husband and I were MISERABLE. Before a guest checks in the air conditioner should have been turned on so that it would be comfortable when we walked in. Instead it was hot like a suana and took 2 hours to cool down! Awful-does not deserve 4 stars.
• Relation qualité-prix: Sans évaluation Because of the size and hardness of the mattress and the hard pillows we paid far too much for this hotel. The Maria Cristina in San Sebastian had a better room rate than this did!!!!

• Situation: 10 Excellent, walk to most places of interest and 80 yards from a bus stop where the open top tour bus stops every 15 min, pay once and get on and off as many times as you like - with multilingual commentary about the city.
• Installations et services: 7,5 Pity spa isn%27t free, also no children under 14 allowed - I can understand why, but as I have a 5 year old it would have been nice to have somewhere to go within the hotel other than the bar.
• Personnel: 7,5 Excellent - helpful and friendly front desk staff and security guards, who where in the foyer every time we went through. Waiters were good, although one did get a bit snooty when we asked for an english breakfast - which as they offer it was a bit off - not that it really bothered me!!
• Tranquillité: 10 Fantasic, with windows closed we could hardly hear a thing from our room which was at the front overlooking the gran via.
• Chambre: 10 2 twin double beds, plenty big enough for a family of 4 plus 3 large suitcases.
• Relation qualité-prix: 10 £190 total for 2 nights bed and breakfast (buffet style) for 4 people in the heart of Madrid - excellent value
